| 2010 | - New regulations to reduce the sulfur content of marine fuel were enforced in Europe and California. We developed and released brand new models of burner especially designed for Low-Sulphur Diesel Oil (LSDO) as well as Heavy Fuel Oil, which were installed on large number of vessels in service. - Research and development project of "Super Clean Marine Diesel", sponsored by the Nippon Foundation, was launched to deal with the IMO third NOx regulation (Reduce NOx by 80% of the current level) for marine diesel engine. - Delivered newly designed Exhaust Gas Heater, ordered by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, as the part of NOx reduction system with utilizing SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) method for this project. |

| 2020 | - VOLCANO has been keeping its operation by utilizing the work-from-home even under the state of emergency caused by COVID-19. - Several international maritime exhibitions which VOLCANO planned to exhibit in 2020 were canceled or postponed. - The remote commissioning of the Gas/Oil simultaneous mixed combustion DF burner "SFFGII" was successfully carried out for an overseas shipyard. - VOLCANO Co.,Ltd. announced the new Gas/Oil simultaneous mixed combustion DF burner "Vignis" for boilers of LNG fueled vessels into the global market. The new "Vignis" also equips GCU mode and can be used as GCU (Gas Combustion Unit). VOLCANO DF burners have wide size composition from 1t/h to 70t/h as the boiler evaporation rate. - VOLCANO Co.,Ltd. announced the new Gas Combustion Unit for LNG Fueled Vessel "MECS-GCU" into the global market. | 2021 | - "CENTURY HIGHWAY GREEN" which is the car carrier fueled by LNG (liquefied natural gas) equipped with Vignis-W, VOLCANO Gas/Oil simultaneous mixed combustion DF (Dual Fuel, which means gas and oil) burner was delivered. - VOLCANO obtained the burner certification (China GB certification) at Oil-combustion for Urban garbage thermal incineration recycle power plant, following the 2018's success at Gas-combustion. - VOLCANO delivered an incinerator complied with the legally established criterion in "Waste Management and Public Cleansing Act". Compared with the past projects, the incinerator's furnace size has the largest capacity. - The remote commissioning of an environmental plant as the division's first case was successfully carried out, by advancing digitalization. - An incinerator having internal furnace pressure as negative was successfully designed and manufactured. The commissioning of the incinerator was also successful. The negative internal furnace pressure is complied with the China local standard in the environmental laws and regulations. - Delivered the combustor as the heat source for the demonstration plant whose purpose is to produce Ethanol from the combustible garbage, utilizing microbial catalysts. |
